How To Refresh Your Existing Website Content
Curious about how you can update your current website content? If you're not looking to completely recreate your website and just want a little bit of a refresh, follow these steps for simple ways to update your website.
Determine Your Updating Cadence Or Schedule
Before you begin How often will you revisit your website content to identify what needs to be updated?
Start with the obvious
What do we mean by starting with the obvious? Exactly that! Anything that looks outdated or just simply doesn't align with who you are as a business anymore.
Revisit your content strategy
Revisit your content strategy and make sure that the content that's living on your site still aligns. Do you need to remove or add content?
Refresh your SEO strategy and tags
Are you still trying to focus on the same SEO keywords? If so, it's a good practice to go through and make sure that your website still reflects that. If not, this is a great time to update all of those keywords and tags in a way that makes sense.
Update your image titles
The same goes for your images, image titles, and copy. Images are a GREAT way to strengthen your SEO and often go overlooked.
Repurpose
Last but not least, REPURPOSE! Take that blog from 3 years ago that's still relevant and recreate it as a video to upload to YouTube and share on social. Have an old infographic or HowTo guide? Look at how you can implement that information into social captions or a written blog.
Last but not least, if you need help with the strategy, images, design, or content writing, we might know someone 😉
🔸Added bonus- Make sure that your website has the appropriate automation set up so that those who sign up for your newsletter or send an inquiry will get a response email automatically! If you already have that automation, make sure the response email copy and design still make sense!
